icore7 or Quad core in laptop?

I’m looking to build a laptop for 16mb’s cineform HD video editing of my red one footage. I’m using CS4 with prospect 4k. I want a laptop cause I will be shooting and editing on the road. It needs to handle at lease one HD video layer in realtime.

My question: Is a corei7 the way to over a Quad core? What would your minimum/ maximum configuration be?

Pehaps Obin could help me out seeing as he knows the adobe systems better than anyone?

i7 is much superior to Core2 so if you can afford it, definitely go with the i7 system!

Thats what i thought. However the i7 alienware systems are cheaper then the quad core so i was a little perplexed.
