Pre-game short film for 2016 Ice Hockey World Junior Championships in Helsinki, Finland, also commemorating the 75th anniversary of Finland’s national betting agency Veikkaus. Shown before all matches at Helsinki’s Hartwall Arena, as well as broadcast from the tournament opening in Finland by YLE and globally by TSN.

Thanks - due to limited time on the rink we had a really simple setup, just two 5K tungsten fresnels. The flaring lights in the background were added in post by tracking some existing lamps in the arena.

Great work. I was wondering what that was shot on. Congrats on the win too! I was rooting for Finland anyways. Rantanen is one of my favorite players. Really hope my favorite team can draft Puljujarvi or Laine. They were unreal.

Thanks! Yeah, the players were great to work with in the session, and it was amazing to see the amount of power, speed and finesse that they have close-up from the ice level. Just super impressive athletes.:001_cool:
