  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I would love edge highlight to be Red, not purple

Purple is not all that easy to see - at least give us an option, no?
 
Rob, I think you mean change it from blue to Red. Hopefully it's not purple or there might be a problem with your monitor. :-)
 
...And it used to be red and a number of people complained about it. Namely those people who have R/G color blindness issues. A number of us lobbied for a user-selectable color for the edge highlight and we were told that it wasn't possible. I'm sure it's not possible, otherwise why tell us that, but honestly that really has me boggled as to how it wouldn't be possible.
 
Yeah, I guess it's more blue than purple, but it's kind of purpley. Whatver it is it's really hard to see! couldn't they offer a seperate firmware version Red and Blue?
 
I liked it better when it was red and there was a build where they actually made it more visible (which makes sense because that is kind of the whole reason you turn it on).

I vote for a switch back to red or "widen" the blue so that it "pops" a bit more.

I just shot a spot lit by talent carrying candleobras. The candle flames were quite large in some of the shots and I felt the looked a little videoish with the purple edge highlight. Sure would be great to have white as edge highlight.
 
Me2 miss the RED or something more contrasty than todays iteration.

While we're grumping on features that used to be good... -:)

Waveform.
used to go RED in the top when it was peeking, and could/should/would have to be RAW to be as good as it could have been.

But I still miss the good old contrasty waveform with RED color in the top.

A lot.

Already suggested that before - no response unfortunately :(

I'd like bright green too!
