These are totally random and unrelated. I just wanted to share 3 really interesting bits, stuff that blew me away today:

http://www.jeff-frost.com/ - play his video "Flawed Symmetry of Prediction" - this is my new inspiration....

(scroll down to the images at the bottom of the page, these were so amazing I had to blog about 'em....you can find the originals at the artists' site rabittooth.com, but they are embedded on the site, not easy to find in one place, all his stuff is amazing though....)

Still think Tom Lowe can take Jeff . . .

I think Jeff has a unique vision for what timelapse can do and is creating something quite different from Tom...not really worth comparing, they both have masterful control of their art.

Great stuff - thanks for sharing Meryem.

Thanks for sharing Meryem. James Cameron is one of my hero's.

GHOSTS OF THE ABYSS was one of my favorite documentaries ever and seeing a good 3D film before 3D made its latest resurgence was quite magical, in its time - another 3D film which tried to create an immersive environment, to place you in the Titanic and inside of Bill Paxton's experience of it - nothing gimmicky about it, I found its implementation of 3D highly original and effective, and the fact that Cameron threw in a little nod to early film technology, with a 3D kinetoscopic reference only made me love the film that much more.

The guy has a mad passion for deep sea exploration and has been able to fuse his passion with his art...much respect....

The Frost time lapse is really exceptional. Tom's work is gorgeous too but they're very different. One is capturing the natural world through a unique vision where the other is often creating something completely from imagination and integrating that into the world we know. I think Jeff's work takes it another step...
