I just tried the crimsonworkflow tool. It´s Perfekt !!

Cut your Proxies in Final Cut.

Export an XML.

Convert the XML with crimsonworkflow.

Import all the R3D Files you used in your Final Cut Sequenz in Redcine ( Load ALL ).

Then load your converted XML File in Redcine.

Ready!

You have your cut in Redcine and you are online.

Thanks for this nice application. Bought it already !!!!

I'll second that. Had good success with the tool on Friday. It's great to see a real working workflow for that stuff as that was really lacking just a few weeks ago.

Sounds great.. what if you want one or two dissolves in there?

Dissolves will pass through Crimson, and be in your roundtrip sequence when you come back to Final Cut Pro. They won't affect Redcine or Redline renders.

In other words, final cut still has to do the rendering and conforming. But you have new footage, properly debayered and colored by one or the other Red utility.

I've searched the boards (looking again now) for step-by-step instructions and yours are the most complete I've found so far. But each of the one-line instructions above actually have several steps involved in them. Can you point me to a location where someone has listed more detailed instructions for beginner/intermediate editors? Thanks much.
