I QUIT MY JOB TODAY!!!

[Sabyasachi Patra]

Congratulations Nick!

Working long hours is a given thing now. However, the best thing is that you are your own man.

Buying an expensive camera is a leap of faith. For a beginner the belief in these cameras also raises the confidence level and that shows up in the work as well. However, now that you are a full time pro, you have to be aware of the gear acquisition syndrome.

All the best!

Cheers,
Sabyasachi

Brooklyn's good. Brooklyn's funky. Brooklyn's happening. it's a part of who we are (lol)

Hehe, I'd say on the contrary, working for you own company means more '20hr days'
But I'm sure you'll enjoy every minute of it ! Congrats

Agreed, I have been telling people I'm semi-retired - which means only 50-60 hours/week ;-)

[Webster Miller]

No one will pay you to follow your dream, you have to make that happen! Congratulations and good luck. Now we get inspiration on lens and independent filmmaking from Nick.

[Keith B Plummer]

You won't regret it. I have been my own boss since 2000 and was the best decision of my life professionally. Haven't gotten rich, but my time is my time to use as I think best. Congratulations and continue creating your own good luck.

Congrats Nick! I am wondering, (in the time since that first Scarlet MX ,which I assume either brought you to, or kept you involved here at REDUSER) what percentage of your production knowledge was gained from perusing these very pages????
