Hi Gang,

Have a Mac trashcan and trying to run 3 monitors.
all 3 HDMI units.

2 27" 4k LG displays on the desk and a 50" 4k on the wall for clients.

is there an I/O box or a better way to run this other then just plugged into the trashcan??

am I getting the best color this way???

Curtis

The only way you'll get best color is to make sure that entire pipeline is color managed. What kind of content are you mainly producing? If you have any broadcast deliverables, then you'll probably want an i/o with a calibrated broadcast monitor. Are you running Resolve? FCPX? Premiere?

Color is a funny thing. I just had my iMac 5K calibrated with Calman C3 Client and it got it pretty close to reference Flanders but there were differences in grey tones when looking at them side by side. So, if you need everything to match really close, you'll want to invest in calibrating your entire pipeline to get things within an acceptable tolerance for you and your clients.
