I have shot for years, but I am self learned and so I have never had a strong technical background. I have a few areas that I need some work and wanted to hire someone with years of experience to help me refine some skills. I live in Kansas City so it will have to be remote lessons. Any one interested in working out an hourly rate to help me work through some issues as it pertains to shooting with my RED - exposure, lenses, filter, etc.

I am in the same boat as yours as far as lighting is concerned. Usually I just google, e.g. how to light a white cyc..? There's so much out there but of course there's nothing like one-on-one lessons. Good luck.

I am another self taught cinematographer. Though I wouldn't dare to pass off as a DOP. I am more a director who knows a lot about cinematography. Like Ramesh says, the internet is a great teacher, I have learnt a lot more about light and shadows over the past 5-6 years than the preceeding decade and some.

I don't mind spending some time going over pure light and shadow science & techniques, as a joint learning effort rather than a paid service. Who knows, this could go on to get a life of its own.
