I want to mount a V-Lock plate to the bottom of a Steadicam sled.

I was looking at this Red battery plate: http://www.red.com/store/740-0007

It doesn't look like the power cable will be able to reach up to the Red, though. Is there a coupler or something I could get to extend this power cable, or another V-Lock that might have longer cables available?

Thanks for any advice.

I believe red makes longer cables, but in any case there are several companies that can make you an adapter cable in between your red and red plate, ask Peter Karlsoon he has made one for his Machine. Are you doing steadicam now?
Best

Yep, I just got a Steadicam! My buddy Larry Gebhardt was kind enough to loan it to me for my film.

Well good luck with it. What brand is it? You will best off do a lot of practice with it before you can make a decent shot ha ha ha, but its a good toy.
I have been doing steadicam over the last 14 years or so and there are still new things to learn...
good luck again

why not just get the cable to power the red off of the sled? having a cable hanging around is going to be a drag to say the least.
