Yes, obviously if one HAS a 1st AC. Not everyone has that luxury. It all depends on what you're shooting, and how.

Man, you're really are set in your ways, huh?
If the guy wants two handles let'em enjoy his rig. I'll tell you one thing for sure, while it may not be my preferred setup I'd shoot some solid stuff with it no problem. The same can be said for Zacuto rigs and the like.![]()
The rig does not matter at all. Only the results.
hahaha, jacek
soooo many different manufacturers. hell, think of that: optitek/optitron added to this setup !!!
you are right. my existing setup contains too many products of different manufacturers.
i will not add another manufacturer. such as optitek. thanks for the hint about mixing too many manufacturers.
btw. i love the lens support which i received from you for the 18-85 rpz ;-)
it is soooo easy to remove the left handgrip. sometimes it is on, sometimes it s off. what you can't see is the shoulder pad from allstar. the system is balanced well, even when only one (right handgrip used).
when i need ky left hand on the lens it's off))
i don't know where to get a arri rosette to 15mm rods mounting solution. even when such a thing exists, the handgrip would be placed too high, for my purposes.
i had to use the Zacuto Sony FS700 Grip Relocators. as i found out and i was searching long, they are the only solution which mounts direct an arri rosette to 15mm rods adjustable in height.
they are great. and they are 199 dollars, thats not expensive.
the only thing i'm not happy 100% is the evf mounting solution...
i will post pics of the rig, if i found someon who shoots the pictures
vocas wooden handgrips, zacuto Sony FS700 Grip Relocator, red dsmc quick release platform, allstar shoulder pad.
