  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

I just stumble on this and thought...

Interesting...anyone have any idea of the cri or light quality coming out of these guys?

Not too bad for a very super low budget shooter, just don't expect high CRI, pure withe clarity on the 5600k, and strong output with high portability in v-Lock batteries with low consumption, same goes for the build quality, which is not bad, but no were great, but if you want a really great LED fixture, the very best in the market in fact, wait for my next Group Buy.

Ok Ketch i will look out for the group buy.

Thanks Brice!

Something tells me 1500 LEDs does not equal 1500 watt output... Maybe if you're within 1m. And this is 72 LEDs equivalent to 1500 LEDs, which makes me even more skeptical.

I agree. Whatever other good traits the lights might possess, I'd be skeptical about the "power equivalent" claims. I wish these manufacturers would start to settle on using an actual light measurement in their marketing. Meanwhile, I always assume that the lights are roughly equivalent to each other at least until better info is available; i.e. these are probably in the ballpark of other 1 x 1's. The review video gives me some sense that maybe they are on the high side of that.

Ketch - let's go with that group buy!!!

I saw it on chessycam.com and thought i might run it by the more experience eye on here, but i will wait and see what Ketch has to offer.

what do you guys think about this light in general?

Not impressed by the flesh tones. As one would expect with Phosphor White LEDs the flesh tones range from pallid (lacking warmth) to greenish. LED color rendering is just not there yet.

I've worked with, own, and tested a bunch of LED lights. Haven't used these yet, but the only thing I've used recently that's impressed me are the NILA lights. Both in terms of build quality and color performance. However, we're talking a different price point all together here.

Would love to know how those Nila lights perform. Was it a Boxer or SL at all?
i'm interested to know if it creates multiple shadows / lines like some of the other brands.

Oh you tease, Ketch :)

Looking forward to it.

Okay guys, I have now confirmed the Group Buy with the Company, can't give any details right now, but when I return form Dubai, in couple of weeks, I'll start the Group Buy thread with a mini review of the Fixtures and few sample shots taken with it, in both Night and Day.

PS: I will not add any comments here, but I must advice that if you are looking for a Cheap light option this is no IT, as this are IMO the absolute Best of the bunch in all aspects, and they are not Cheap yet they are cheaper then LitePanels 1x1 Fixture and offer a Load more, and with the Group Buy discount will surely make them more affordable.

See you guys on the Gorup Buy in couple of weeks... ;)

You The Man Ketch...hope to see it soon. Cheers
