From what I understand, the /i information from Cooke lenses is appearing on the monitor for the Epics. I remember reading that the only thing that wasn't displaying correctly was the focal length (I think it was always showing 45mm or something similar). It also displayed the distance in focus in terms of a range, which I assume is also inaccurate if the focal length is not being passed correctly.
Is this still the case?
Has anyone had the opportunity to test any of the other manufacturers apart from the Red lenses (Fujinon and Angenieux are both supposed to be /i capable at some point according to the Cooke website - I just wonder if they can be used with the Epic/Scarlet)?
I am mostly curious about the Cooke CXX 15-40mm zoom (Would really like to know if anyone has tried it?), but if the Angenieux DP's with the new ADS /i system enables the same level of information to be displayed in the monitor I would definitely be interested.
Thanks for your time,
Gary
