I am getting waves of interference on my red pro 5 screen and on playback help!

Please can anyone help
I have just traveled to Peru from Scotland with my Scarlet and all the bits that go with it. I set it all up and for the first time here, I am getting waves of interference flowing down from top to bottom, its similar to old (black and white) TV sets that were not getting a great signal. I done some test footage hoping it would not record... but it does. Has anyone had this problem and more importantly how do i fix it?

it´s probably caused by 60Hz mains frequency. Try different shutter speeds / frame rate.

You are saying you're powering all of your lights via battery?

Peru's electrical system provides 60Hz/240v...not 50Hz like your country of origin. So lights powered off of the electrical grid will be running off 60Hz power. Set shutter to 1/60 if you're running 25fps and see how that works for you.

I didn't get what you were saying initially, I thought you believed I was running the camera of mains. I left in doing a blackshading, but no change after that. Then turned on my computer and found your post. I then realised that there was a tube light on in the room. Took it out side and problem solved!!! It was the freaking light in the room. Thanking for shinning the correct light on this problem.
