I just bought (and am waiting for) a Hypergonar HiFi2 anamorphic lens (which needs to be adapted). It's a 2:1. I know there's no ANA mode for Scarlet so I figure, since I'll be finishing in 1080p for clients, that I can 'punch into' the shots as needed... but to get the most out of the shot, do you guys recommend shooting regular 4K or 4K HD? I'm assuming 4K, right?

I'd definitely test it out but I think in my mind you should do ff 4k then desqueeze in RCX or using the fcp pixel aspect ratio setting in your sequence timeline. Let us know what you figure out!

Yeah, I'll definitely play with it and show some before and afters. Now, I just have to figure out how to mount this beast... I had no idea how big it was... definitely need some rail support of some kind. I'm not sure why this guy in the picture is using a big ol' RPP when you just need a 50mm or 85mm prime but, still, the rails and support he's using are something like what I'm gonna need.

I'm shocked at how good these lenses are. I've had my eye out for so long and finally so a good one on Ebay pop up. Someone else is selling one now too but it's not in the best condition.
