Not sure how useful this is to anyone, but I ran an un-scientific test last night. This pack is a 1.5GB set of untouched assets from a Scarlet SDI to Hyperdeck 2.

Unscientific as: I have no SSD module to compare the downscales to the raw with. Factory blackshade. Still, gives you a sense of how look around effects grain.

1080 Prores HQ 25 Redlogfilm 5k look-around and 4k downscales at ISOs 800/3200/6400, 5600k, 50mm 2.8 on a Pentax Super Takumar 1.4. Also included a raw view output for straight sensor representation.

Capture0069.mov - Look around RAW view
Capture0068.mov - Look around 3200
Capture0070.mov - Look around 6400
Capture0071.mov - Look around 800
Capture0072.mov - 4k 800
Capture0073.mov - 4k 3200
Capture0074.mov - 4k 6400

Histograms looked like:

800

I'm very curious as to what you are driving at, I just received my Hyperdeck Shuttle and haven't even tested it yet. When you say "Still, gives you a sense of how look around effects grain." do you mean "affects grain"?

"Affects", yes. I wanted to see how high ISOs looked with look around - less windowing in on the sensor plus skipping raw compression gets some pretty usable results at 3200ASA.

Could you split up the download? I'm particularly curious about the look around 800 file.
