  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Human Trafficking Awareness PSA Series (Gemini + Leica R's)

Love these! The Leica R's look amazing and resolve beautifully. The color is also off the charts. Who was your colorist? Did you use a monitoring LUT?

Really good looking spots! Did you add the grain structure in post, or is that from underrating the gemini a bit? I've been on the fence upgrading my SW to Gemini and this is pushing me on the side of just jumping in... :)

What was your ISO for "Not In My Restaurant" ?

Thanks! I added the grain in post. I've shot on the Scarlet many times and in my opinion the Gemini is much better. For the Not in my Restaurant spot I rated it around 250-320 ISO, maybe 400 at the max. Shot at a T2 all around

What was the lighting set up? A night exterior of that size would give me the heeby jibbies on my scarlet, but i also am not working at a level where I can get a genny.

For the night ext, I had a Skypanel going into an 8x8 ultrabounce to camera right, a Lightmat 4 thru a diffusion frame from behind camera. And then in the background I had a couple titan tubes installed as practicals, some harder light with cooler gel (like a 1k fresnel) hitting the fence, MAYBE some soft light in the background on camera right, and we had access to a hose to wet the ground. I didn't need a tremendous amount of light, the skypanel was dimmed down quite a bit if I recall correctly

Hey all! Wanted to share some work I DP'd: shot on a Red Gemini (skintone OLPF) & some rehoused Leica R's:

Curious to hear your thoughts!

These look fantastic! Great job!
