A director friend of mine is shooting a Red One M-X/Epic-M job late this week in LA.

He is curious to know what the highest shooting speed enabled on the Epic-M currently is and he cannot reach the camera's owner tonight.

I believe, for the time being, it's 120FPS.

Am I correct, or can he sacrifice some resolution and shoot some of the higher frame rates on the current build?

Brook? Dino?

Thanks.

That's what I thought.

Thanks, Deanan.

I'll let him know.

Just remember that compression goes to 12:1 at 120fps...... No worries ......
We shoot at 72 and 96fps on Spiderman all the time with amazing results

Does the current firmware on the Epic M allow any high speed at lower resolutions? I know that the camera will eventually be able to shoot over 200fps at 2k. Is that currently enabled? I have a high speed shot coming up and I just want to know our options for the DP.

Thanks,

Dave
