I am a heavy user of video editing , I currently use Sony Vegas and Adobe After Effects.

I'm Don't know what's better for video editing ....

HP dv6t with core i7 and 6 mb cach
or MacBook Pro with Core 2 duo with 2 or 3 mb cach

what do you think ??? They tell me Macs are better in video editing but I don't know ....

Thanks in advance :-) :-)

I can't imagine a scenario where a Core 2 duo box would outperform an i7 - maybe if the Core2 was a freak of nature (extreme series) and the i7 was the lowest end i7 you could buy. Graphics cards are also important but given how old the Core2 machine is likely to be I doubt that will help balance things. These days... Win/Mac is more a matter of preference than performance.
