How's Build 17 release coming along?

I'm on B16 and happy, but just wanted to hear some info on this. Not upgrading until release build is out.

I've gambled some high dollar multi-day Studio shoots with expensive celebrity talent on Beta Build 17 and it has worked & preformed flawlessly for me...

Perhaps some like to play it safer than I... but if you want my two cents... Come on in the water's fine.

I've done a fair bit of VFX compositing with Build 17 exported tifs, In after Effects... All Red programs work fine and encode normally.

Is this a known bug? Does it only affect B17 or B16 also?

Perhaps I'm not pushing the playback as those with problems, but I have zero fall overs with Build 17 playing back both MOS and sound clips.

We don't use the camera's 48v, always a mixer to power the microphones. Audio is clean and perfect.

Good to hear that everybody is having problem free shoots. Just seems odd to me that a release build havn't been issued for this very reason.
It's probably right around the corner, though.
Sticking to the rules here. No beta builds on commercial shoots

They have so many things on their plate that it's fairly easy to understand something like this unconsciously getting put on the back burner. Who knows Build 17 may not be legitimized until a Beta Build 18 comes out... Seems to be the way things have worked in the past. Can you say Build 18 4.5K!?

Build 17 is the next update to the camera's internal software. Currently it's available to camera owners in beta form.

Nope, because production cameras are already shipping with new audio board and /i pin hardware in them and Build 16.

Expect an update on Build 17 soon. Currently it is in Beta test, the last phase prior to formal release.
