  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

How you like new banners on reduser ?

What's your point? This site has way fewer banners than most similar camera/tech sites. They are entitled to host whatever advertising they wish as long as the site remains free.
 
You know... why doesn't Red have a portal to the store from Red User that appears in the same space on each page? Say for instance, you were inclined to purchase 16GB cards or Carbon X rods because you were reading about them and their advantages to your work... wouldn't a quick n' easy link on each page further smooth the process to acquisition and imaging nirvana?:)
 
As far as I know, RED does not run these forums; Jarred Land does, but he does work for RED. I think.
 
This site handles advertising about as classy as you possibly can. It never feels in your face. Sometimes I catch something out of the corner of my eye and I'll click on it, but most of the time my attention is on the forum.

Yeah and it's totally relevant products to folks using RED. No porn, no movie trailers, no annoying talking banners, etc. Class act all the way. I have zero problem whatsoever with the advertising on this site. Which again I kinda wonder what the point of the original poster was.

So you don't like the bottom banner- ok fine. In what way does its existence take one iota away from your completely gratis REDuser.net experience?

Craig, never said anything about Red running these forums... It's most obvious that this is Mr. Land's deal.

All I know is that when I was putting together my AKS order I used those banners to compare and contrast Sim Video and Element Technica (meaning for a couple months I used the banners to bring up their respective pages and compare items, functionality and prices). I was just positting in my earlier post that maybe Red would better serve it's clientele by having a "courtesy link" to their store. That's it.

On another note, the banners up top almost always benefit me as a purchaser of all things Red for my kit.
