  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

How was this effect accomplished?

In this Beyonce video there is a interesting speed ramp effect near the end. The thing that confuses me is her lips are always in time with the music. My guess is they slowed down the music during production so she was singing and dancing slower and then in post speed it up to add that visual effect?

Yep, and it takes a lot of time, planning, and rehearsals to pull that off. It's wacky to hear on set, but it can work.

Do you have any helpful tips?
I am going to try some tests tomorrow. I am going to slow the track down in varying increments 20%, 40%, 60% etc. And film it at 24p and/or 30p then speed it all up in post to the proper BPM. and see how it turns out.

All I know is that video is AMAZING!!!!

Wow.

So good.

lol i can't tell if your being sarcastic:001_tt2:
But I am impressed with a lot of her recent videos. A lot of great imagery and camera work.
