Hello,dear friend

we want to make a LUT P3 to XYZ,could you give us some about how to it

1.What informations we should need to provide?

2.What is the different between the RGB to XYZ and P3 to XYZ?

thank you very much

we hope that it is the correct color for my DCP, so we should use a lut that it is from the mesured gammut and white point of my projector direct to DCI XYZ preset.so could you give us some about how to it

I am working on it, lets see how it goes..

P3 and XYZ has a wider gamut than RGB, and was intended for digital cinema projection, and some monitors like PANASONIC BT-4LH310 LCD PRODUCTION MONITOR, but you wont see any difference on your RGB-Rec709 screen..

He's referring to the fact this is in the wrong thread and should be taken elsewhere.

Hello.dear friend

thank you very very much

Could you give us some guidances about how to use it

Hello,dear friend

other problem .how to convert the Cube to the LUT?

we want to make a P3 to XYZ LUT and we had calculated our projector (it show some values)
1.
Is the P3 to XYZ LUT a constant LUT(values)
2.
how to make the Mapping from P3 to XYZ

thank you

Sorry, I was in the process of moving (its a pain in the a..)..

Can you explain in more detail what is exaclty what you are trying to do?

The Luts I posted before are supposed to be an accurate representation of those color spaces..

Here is the coordinates I took from Photoshop;

DCI P3 RGB.

Gamma= 2.6

White point x= 0.3140 y= 0.3510

Red x= 0.6800 y= 0.3200
Green x= 0.2650 y= 0.6900
Blue x= 0.1500 y= 0.0600

DCDM X'Y'Z'.

Gamma= 2.6

White point x= 0.3333 y= 0.3333

Red x= 0.9999 y= 0.0001
Green x= 0.0000 y= 1.0000
Blue x= 0.0000 y= 0.0001

If you have your own coordinates from your projector, please post them, to see if I can make a custom LUT for you..

And, yes, you can map one onto another, and they are always constant values..

Hello,dear friend

thank you very very much

our materials are REDEPIC 5K,we colorgrade the film isinto the REDLOGFILM
we need to output the DCP to do some test。our projector is P3.

NOW we need a LUT P3 to XYZ.you give us some Cube files。but how to map the values of the calculated into XYZ.cube?

thank you very much

another question:
1.Is the P3 to XYZ a[FONT=Tahoma, Calibri, Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif] constant mapping?
2.if we had calculated the projector ,Would it affect the P3 to XYZ?

thank you very much

Hey Andy, one more question.. I need to know what is your workflow; (colorgrading program and everything..) I've have problems understanding what is exactly what you want, sorry.I deleted the other LUTs posted, since that is not what you want, tell me more, I have a P3 to XYZ lut, but honestly I don't have the way to test it, so don't know if it works..There are also two flavors of the same color space, one preserving the RGB numbers, and the other one, using Black point compensation, and I don't have a P3 monitor or projector to test it..

Here is the LUT, but no guaranties that it will work..

Hello,dear friend

we would test it

we are doing some DCDM tests,it is only a test。we would colorgrade a film in next month

our materials are REDEPIC 5K,it is into the REDLOGFILM,my projector is P3,we used the Davinci to colorgrade。

when we do some test,we used a LUT RGB to XYZ。but the color into the screen is d
esaturation。my friend said that we need a P3 to XYZ。

my problem

How to make a P3 to XYZ?
