Is there any way to reconnect proxy files with two audio tracks on a FCP7 timeline to multitrack proxy files? I experimented with this a bit Although the new files register in the clip browser and XML of the project, the additional audio tracks do not become visible on the timeline. The additional relinked audio tracks also not included in an OMF or AAF export of the project.
However, if one exports the project to Soundtrack Pro, and then copies the audio track into individual mono tracks, exports it back to FCP.. then the additional channels do work. Handles of the original files are lost though.
What would be the easiest way to accomplish this... i.e. reconnect previously RED Cine-X rendered stereo files on the FCP timeline to new multichannel versions of the same files.
Could this kind of relinking be done in Premiere perhaps?
This is for a full length straight cuts feature film.
