Hi, after correcting the r3d file metadata, I want to save the r3d file with the new metadata info. how can I do that?
I would like that anyone who open this r3d file (in redcine or redalert), will see the new metadata as defualt.

Glik.

When you change a setting it automatically saves an RSX file that opens as default settings when you open the clip again in Redalert.

There is currently no way to write an R3D except for in-camera.

Little off the subject but CineForm codec is just like R3D since it's wavelet codec and allow you to utilize the active metadata.

Load up a hex editor.

The meta data is all in plain-text in the header.

I don't know how much the format has changed in the last 12 months but I posted a byte-map listing all of the important information (color temp, iso etc.)

Just change the value of the meta data and hit save.

I imagine there are also some scripts which do it by now. But I'm not up to date on who's producing what.
