Question (couldn't find an answer in the manual):

When creating a project in Redcine-X I drag clips to the project window. I usually give clips a star rating (none to 5). Then I want to make a bin with all the starred clips automatically collected. Like "everything with 3 stars or higher". How to do this in Redcine-X?

So the question is: how to make a 'smart bin' that contains clips based on a certain parameter like 'rating'?

regards,
Erwin

Thanks for the suggestion.

I use FCP-X and so importing R3D doesn't work yet (R3D support is on the horizon). So I do both my first pass and selecting (based on rating and I shorten clips with I/O) in Redcine-X - works great.

Looking for a convenient way to select export all clips with 3 or more stars that are scattered around the multiple bins.

Actually you can right click on any clip in the project and select a rating. You can then use the Sort By... button and select RATING. It's not perfect but at least the rated clips are sequential.

Hi Erwin,

We don't currently have a feature like this. You can however sort an existing bin by Rating and then copy those to a new bin, which you can then export.
