  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

How to layout the Lenses in a Pelican Case 1510?

On the subject of the elctric carving knife, If you are going to cut your own foam, it's the way to go. You can do a really nice job with a little practice, and it's worlds easier than trying to use a sharp blade like an exacto or a scalpel.

So on the Pl cp2 case what goes in the center section?
I see stuff in the pict but dont know what it is.

Spacing needs to be of a 2" for ATA type cases, but you can get away with half that if self transported and never tossed around in trucks, or shipping.

Heavy lenses, well, all Cine lenses IMO would be best laid down.

Correct way to trasnport SMALL Lenses...

Best way to transport Heavier and much more expensive lenses, such as Master Primes and the new LEICA S-C...

This company will be building all our cases for the sets of Leica S-C... ;)

Ancient thread I know. But it made me wonder, if the correct way to transport all cinema lenses and specially heavier ones is laid down, the original Red Pro Primes case then was no good? It had the lenses standing vertically but it looked to me they were very well protected. Same thing with the Innerspace case for the Red Pro Primes.
