I can't find anywhere to import XML does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this?

Figured it out... but now the EDL that I kick out of redcinex doesnt work in speed grade. Anyone have any experience with that?

Have you tried exporting an XML from redcinex? I've had much more success with XMLs over EDLs from redcinex to adobe software.

speed grade doesnt support XML... they really gotta fix that

you just have to choose the folder in the preferences import box and when you go to import it from the pop down window it reads the xml

I have not been able to get my xml into Redcine. Can someone explain the above for me? Dug around the preferences tab but that seems like a pretty strange place to do an import. I assume it's something obvious that I'm missing.

Found this in another thread. It's a non-intuitive, two-step process to import an xml. - JB

The round trip with Premier Pro and RCX Pro does work, here's the exact steps.

Edit in Ppro to your hearts delight. When you are ready for a RCX grade: "Export > Final Cut Pro XML"

Open RCX. "File > Import"

Point RCX to the directory of where the RED media is. Click "Import" and point to the Final Cut Pro XML you previously created.

Grade in RCX.
