How to get Sd Dailies to DVD quickest way?

Hi all,

I am wondering if anyone has advice on quickest and cheapest
way to get r3d files to SD dvd. I have fcp and a SD dvd recorder.

Any input appreciated.

I would say Compressor encoding the M proxies to MPEG2 would be the quickest--if you've got a Mac and Final Cut Pro.

What kind of quality are you looking for? you can use Log and transfer
then play those files out to your dvd recorder.

Thanks for the responses, is there an advantage to log and transfer over
just playing the ref files from fcp?

Oh and quality is not important, mainly wanting dvd dailies to check performance of
actors etc.

drop all h.mov proxies into fcp timeline

hit render all


take render file and drop into idvd

burn.

edit: if you have a dvd recorder...do what they said above, drop[ proxies into tl, playout to sd dvd burner through firewire.

Get an AJA or Decklink card and play proxys from your FCP timeline to your DVD recorder. It is only realtime. Timecode burn-in can be a pain.
