We just received our Raven, it's an awesome little camera, but it arrived with dead pixels. We thought, let's clean the sensor just in case it's a dust problem, and found a thin glass screen about an inch in front of the sensor. This thin glass screen was relatively dirty (for a brand new camera). Anyone know how to clean the glass element (that is in front of the sensor)?
We have a Scarlet and the Raven's glass element is nothing like the Scarlet's. The Scarlet has a nice, thick coated glass element right on top of the sensor, which is easily cleaned with a sensor swab. The glass element in the Raven brain is thinner, housed in a cheap foam structure, about an inch from the sensor, and does not seem to be coated at all. Is this maybe the OLPF element? How would you go about cleaning (or replacing) this element? I feel it's adding to the image degradation but won't know till I actually see a clean element in there. Thanks!
