I'm gonna work with R1 soon but as i don't trust the owner of the camera i wanna check myself if the camera updated to mx sensor? Is there a sign or signature that proves the update, or is it just the eye?

Look for the power up splash screen. MX will have an X embedded in the Red logo.

This is what side CF Module has to look like:

Not for nothing, but you may want to find a vendor you trust. No one should be pretending they have an M-X sensor if they want to stay in business long.

But if you need to go with this vendor, then yes, previous suggestions are correct. Also, one other way to tell - tell them to set the camera at 2000 ASA at night and see what you get. Should be pretty obvious at that point. :-)

it's pretty str8 forward then.i have no worries anymore.

I only know that there was one person on here who said they didn't have any writing on the side of the CF module when they got their MX back.

I'd think that marking has value, especially if you ever rent or sell you camera. i'd bet that if Red didn't mark it originally they will take care of it, but i can't speak for Red, just knowing what kind or folks they are I'm confident it wouldn't be a problem.
