Sadly no.

The biggest difference is in white balance and tint, use the little picker and pick something white in the shot should get you close at least

I've noticed in the new NAB posts that the OLPF will be smart detect on Weapon. Does this mean they put a board and contact point so the Brain knows which OLPF your shooting on?

Still trying to figure this one out.

It also seems that the new OLPF that where just released on RED.COM will work on Epic body only not Weapon.

So I could see a redesign to accommodate smart OLPF.

But as for Epic/Scarlet it may remain dumb, maybe down the line we'll see that option on Cine-X.


It's kinda a mess cause I never know what they have until the day of the shoot, it's hard enough trying to get a Prep day to make sure they match and the DP is working with what he likes for the look. All the older Epic Dragon never get sent back to get the stock OLPF so there's no label on it to decipher.

The Weapon OLPF does not use 4 screws. I believe it is some type of thumb screw that you use to lock in place.
