How to change Detail to "Leading Lady"

The show i am on now thinks all the footage is too sharp. I can't find the Detail setting in RCX. I want to try changing it to "leading Lady" and see how they like that. The option is still in Redline. What about other apps.

If you're using Rocket, then you don't get that choice - it's one fixed demosaic. For softer footage, use lens-filtration, or use a softer downsample filter (gaussian is a good one) when downsampling to HD.

Cool. We are using more diffusion going forward, i was looking for a solution to footage we already shot.

Software diffusion could work well - lots of ways to do that. If you're delivering HD, then look at your downsample options.

Graeme, Can you change the downsample algorythm when using the rocket ? (or did you just say you can't and have to use software debayer...

Dustin, you can adjust the Detail setting in REDCINE-X PRO Build 4. It's at the bottom of the Look : Image panel. Set it to 0 for "leading lady", 1 for medium, 2 for high.
Note that this won't work with a Rocket or a lower debayer setting than Full.

If you are using DaVinci Resolve, there are pretty nice options und "Blur" -> "Mist".
