how to buy an EPIC

Hello there,

My name is Cesar Conti, filmmaker for tv ads and cinema, from Spain.

I'm really interested in buying an Epic camera but I'm a little bit confused with all the information on internet forums and websites.

As I can see the only camera that it's avalaible at the moment it's Epic-M but some posts say that the orders are already closed. Even more, I have read that only if you have a Red-one, you can buy an Epic.

Also, I have seen that Epic-X is coming out, is there any difference between Epic-M and Epic-X?

So, How could I buy an Epic-M? or maybe it's not possible as it is a limited edition and all the stock is sold? In that case, how could I buy (or order) an Epic-X?

The last question: in case I could make an order for one of these cameras, how long it will take until I receive the camera?

RED has not stopped taking orders of EPIC M, and no one has officially said such a think.

Sign in and place your interest of order here: http://www.red.com/store/epic/product/epic-m for an EPIC M, limited quantities available and order process varies in time.

Epic X is not coming out yet, still no firm production dates were announced, and no, there are no difference in functions, just that the M is Hand Machined, and the X is Cast via production line,
apart form the fact that the M comes with a Titanium PL mount all is the same, again apart the fact that M are Hand Machine parts, so moire expensive.

In order to buy an Epic X you have to wait till all Stage II, 3, and 3.5 are shipped out and then you can buy an X at the Red store during the stage 4.

Unless you are interested in buying in to a lease of some one else's stage II, which we Broker, if so you can email me and I will explain.


However, once again, the EPIC M camera packages are not CLOSED, they are still taking orders just follow the link I provide and sign up for one...
