Hello everyone,

I really hope this is not a stupid question, and forgive me if it has been answered before as I have not gone through all the new threads since the explosion on this forum but, is it possible to adjust the F-Stop on a Canon EF L lens without the DSMC side handle? Those lenses are all controlled electronically and I am just wondering if this is possible without making the purchase (although I probably will anyway).

Thank you in advance,
~Omar

Perfect, thanks guys. What about the battery? It looks like the camera cannot be used with a battery if there is no side handle...am I understanding that correctly?

You can get cables to use other battery types, such as V Lock or Anton Bauer.

(The older Red Bricks are V lock batteries.)

If you want to use the RedVolt batteries ... then yes you must have the side handle or the Red battery module ... which is yet to be released.
