How often do you make black shading calibration?

Guys, Could you tell me please
How often do you make black shading calibration?
And how is it safe?

We know we need to make black shading calibration when:

1. Temperature: when ambient conditions change by more than roughly 30°F or 15°C.
But change ambient conditions according to what? According to previous shooting a few days ago or according to moment when we starting shooting a few hours ago?

2. Exposure Time: when going above or below about 1/2 a second. According to what moment? To previous shooting a few days ago or acording to moment when we start shooting a few hours ago?

Firmware: sometimes after upgrades, if instructed.

And what is connection between black shading calibration and fan?

On my Epic-W, I’ve created auto calibrations for temperatures:
• 30 degrees
• 33 degrees
• 41 degrees
• 47 degrees

And match the fan setting to each temperature.

I use 30 (which is the lowest temp for the fan setting) when I’m out in the winter cold outdoors.
33 or 41 is used depending on how warm the temp of the indoor rooms might be.

The closer you are to matching the correct room temperature, the less loud the fan will be and the less the fan kicks in to cool or have the sensor heated to the right temperature. If your off, the fan might spin louder to keep it colder then it needs to be.

To answer your question, the change in temperature and the change in exposure time is related to the last time you blackshaded.

I'll also add that I'll blackshade at least once every 2 weeks if I'm shooting consistently. Or maybe once a month if I'm not shooting that much.

Buuuuuuut, if you really care about noise, you should also blackshade before any major shooting day because it'll provide you with the cleanest possible image.
