...6-9 months from now, when it will probably have the Dragon Sensor built in and the accessories will change price? Thank you!

No one knows anything. Seriously. The ONLY, and I mean ONLY piece of information that we know is that Dragon will cost more for Scarlet than for Epic.

That's it. Anything else can change any time of any day between now and then.

Whatever you may or may not buy, make the decision based on what is offered in front of you right here and now. If you keep looking to the Next Big Thing, there will always be another Next Big Thing, and then you will never buy anything.

Well, the Red One was $17,000 if I'm correct, the MX is $25,000 — close to a 49% bump in price. If we take this as a starting point, a "Dragonized" Scarlet-X may cost something in the neighborhood of $16,000 for a body only config, considering that the price for the body will go up in 2012. This is just a guess that I make using the available info, it may be less or more expensive.

How does a Scarlet Dragon compare to an Epic Dragon spec wise? Are all Dragons created equal spec wise or is it two different flavors of dragons? I imagine based on this answer the price could vary wildly!

As we dont know anything really at this point, I'm going to say same sensor but different internals limiting the processing power of the scarlet

As I said before:

"No one knows anything. Seriously. The ONLY, and I mean ONLY piece of information that we know is that Dragon will cost more for Scarlet than for Epic."

And just in case someone didn't get that...

I'm curious why there's such concern over the dragon upgrade.... your camera is going to produce damn good looking images with the sensor it has now, the only time to care about any upgrade is when it's available. Or about to be.

The artist controls the technology, not the other way around.
