How much does sleep really help batt life?

Just wondering how much sleep really helps the battery life? SIs it a big improvement? Wanting something that will save a lot of battey but allow for my camera to be ready at a moments notice for stills. Wishful thinking I know.

As with everything, the best way to know for sure is to test yourself. But I'm doing some camera tests tomorrow so I'll add that to the list.

When working with redvolts in hand-grip, it certainly extends life a lot. (Not measured).
But it has also not been bug-free. Sometimes when coming back from sleep, the image starts to stutter, and I need to restart.

Haven't really verifyed whether it affects the recording or not, I have just opted for a restart.

Check in the Power section of the main menu ---> sleep

I can second Gunleik's observation that sometimes when coming out of Power Save the screen stutters/flickers. In my tests when this happens, I have found that the flickering isn't recorded.

Also, when it does happen, my experience has been that there seems to be no other way out of it except to restart the camera as Gunleik has suggested.

I have not found that it saves that much battery though so I rarely use it nowadays.
