  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

How long to receive Scarlet-W?

I'm on edge about ordering a Scarlet-W. The website says deposit, so assuming it going to take some time to ship it. Anyone have an idea on how long it will take to receive? Thanks!
 
Yeah... Day 1 pre-order, Dec 10th, Scarlet Dragon priority, and haven't gotten an email yet. It will be some time for a brand new order placed today. However, if you want one, I would make a deposit ASAP. It will be a much longer time before you can buy and ship same day.
 
I imagine you are going to be waiting until the end of the year. I put a deposit on a scarlet w package within the first hour it was announced and I am still waiting on that. I've since purchased a weapon and received it within a two weeks of ordering.
 
I switched from a raven to a scarlet - w on a jan 11 timestamp but switched back and scored a quick turnaround on a raven package from samys in la. I feel like the scarlet-w was still months out realistically for even 1st and second month orders :/
 
Don't get excited, I know some people who have day one S-W deposits and still haven't been allocated. Generally for Scarlet-W, RED hasn't been really reliable on delivering them, and has made bad choices on the execution of manufacturing. To be very honest and not to fire at RED as a company, it would probably be a better choice to go for a camera system with availability at this time if you are in desperate need of a camera as the S-W or any DSMC2 camera as a matter of fact besides the Weapon are choked and most likely won't be in your hands till next year.

i ordered my Magnesium Weapon in late February and received it a couple weeks ago-so they should be about done with the Weapon orders soon. Which would hopefully allow them to catch up on the Scarlets.
 
Does anyone know the policy on the deposit? If I place a deposit for the Weapon Scarlet and 6 months from now I still haven't received it or life happens and I'm not in position to afford it and want to cancel my order do I lose my deposit?

I keep looking to see if I can swing the bump up to the MgW...but my bank account hasn't magically jumped up like it should!
