How many minutes will I get for ''x'' wh/mah on smallhd monitors - specifically the 702 bright.

Does anyone know of any cheap chinese alternatives to the l series batteries? Looking for one with a jack so I can also power a receiver.

if you want to power something else, 100% listen to Bob

The 702 Bright is rated at 11W.

If you use something like the Anton Bauer NP-F976 L-series battery, which is rated at 47Wh, then you get 47/11 hours of runtime = 4hrs 16mins.

If you use something like a Watson NP-F550 L-series battery, which is rated at 7.4V 2200mAh, first you calculate the Watt-hours by multiplying the nominal voltage by the Amp-hours (converted from mAh by dividing by 1000) ... 7.4 x 2200/1000 = 16.28Wh. Then, as before, divide this by the monitor's rating >> 16.28/11 = 1hr 29mins.

These runtimes are assuming batteries are in good health and being used at optimum temperatures.

SWIT make L-series batteries with a DC port built in, like the S-8972

Alternatively, Media Blackout make a L-series wedge plate that provides a P-Tap - link.

Be advised the 702 doesn’t do too well with the Sony batteries. The heavier Sony (or AB) batteries end up damaging the connections and will shut down the monitor anytime it’s moved/knocked. Seen it on countless rented SmallHDs, as well as my own twice (once after getting fixed through warranty)
