How light can OConnor 2575D balance?

Hiya,
Was just wondering what is the lightest setup an OConnor 2575D can balance. We tried with Helium and 600 and that seemed to light, either the counter balance was too strong or it was too weak. 2560 worked fine however.

Hiya, but those specs specify the maximum weight, and not the minimum as far as I can tell.

25-75lbs I believe. Hence 2065 is 20-65lbs and would likely be more appropriate for most red builds.

There is a big difference between the lower weight handling capacity of 2560 and 2575. You would need to put about 8 odd kgs extra in 2575.

If you are having problem with low weight, then just try raising the height of your camera and lens so that the centre of gravity will go up. If the weight of your package is borderline case, then it would help. However, in 2575D the graph (link given by David above) is high. Even raising 18 inches the cog of the set up may not help if the weight of your set up is too low.
