I was getting some screen flickering issues. I had to reboot several times to resolve it. I haven't been able to replicate it since... (yet). As a general survey, how is everybody else doing with the latest firmware?

oh... which value works best for you if I may ask?Changing the refresh rate tends to solve the issue.
I guess I didnt read the memo but is it correct that this version kills the use of any REDMOTE version?
...
edit: oh, I just noticed we're on the SCARLET forum here -> for me it happened on an EPIC-X not on a SCARLET!
Just to note that... but it sounds like the "same" issue after all!
No.
Camera version 4.0.x is compatible with REDmote version 5.0.x. Both are available on the RED support download page (https://www.red.com/downloads)
Thanks Trent but my in-experience is showing here.
I downloaded everything off the Support page and still confused as to what to do.
I have 4.0.10 on my Scarlet.
I tried to pair the REDmote but I get the incompatible REDmote warning.
I read that you can install from the Scarlet but without the pairing, I cant do much.
I take it I have to place the redmote bin file in an SSD.
Do I need to attach the REDmote to the back of my Scarlet instead?
Stupid DSMC RED TACTICAL blocking that path![]()
In order to upgrade the REDmote through the camera it needs to be docked to the back of the camera (it can't be upgrade wirelessly). You don't need to put the REDmote .bin file on the SSD, the camera has a copy internally. The REDmote .bin file is only used if you upgrade through the USB port (Mac or PC)
