This RAW vs RGB thing is new to me. When we shoot RGB on RED do we choose certain look for our footage that includes white balance parameters/ edge enhancement/ sharpening/ knee/ etc? And it is recorded to the disc more like it would be to standard tape? How quickly swappable are the parameters, if so. For example, moving into daylight -- must swap color temp. Or am I just really confused.

Anyone... Anyone...

Even when shooting RAW you'd want to set some of those options, to get a decent monitoring picture and embed some nice metadata with the RAW file.

Normally RGB recording is a baked in picture, but Greame mentioned that RGB recording on the RED could be stripped down to demosaic only.
That means it's almost still a RAW file, with only the demosaic pass done in the camera to convert to 3 color channels. Whitebalance, sharpness, tonecurve etc. can still be tweaked like the raw file.

But at this time when everything is under development this could still change.
