  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hi all. . .

I've looked through the menu on System>Preferences>User Keys, but I can't find anything about how to have one button do several things. I could have sworn I read where one could set up a key somewhere (I was thinking it might be the left-most button the LCD) to do three different things.

Here's what I'm wanting:

1. Normal view (RED Color)
2. False Color (focus)
3. False Color (RAW exposure)

Is there, in fact, a way to make one button do several things?

Thanks!

Stephen

User Keys

User Keys

Not possible currently to program that Stephen.

But there is a 4-way pre-programmed User Key called MULTI, that cycles between:

REDcolor ( i.e. normal )

Exposure Check false color

Focus Check false color

Video Level Check false color

Hi there, Stuart. . . where is that key???? That's pretty much just what I'm looking for!

Thanks!

Stephen

MULTI

MULTI

In SYSTEM / PREFERENCES / KEYMAP / USER KEYS

Last selection when you scroll through the functions is MULTI

Feature is available on Build 30.5.0 or later ( i.e. 30.6.0 )

Stephen,

You can apply this function to any user key of your choosing, 1-5 within the System menu by choosing "multi" when assign the user key its function. You will find "multi" by rotating the joystick clockwise until all the way to the right.

Best, Ray.

Multi function = Best Toggle key of all time

This just hit me. Thanks so much! I am putting my multi on the left LCD. We don't always have the EVF on, but we always use the LCD.

Super thanks.
