Hi there,

I was exploring some ideas and are curious as to how fellow RedUsers are safely storing their equipment?

I have seen a few options, probably the best solution I have seen was a lockable cage that was bolted to the ground and walls.

Anyone willing to share?

Cheers,
Dane

It's probably not the norm, but since I live in a state with a fairly small town vibe all throughout I mostly just keep my gear in it's cases/backpack.

I have thought about getting some of those Electronic Dry Cabinets for some of the more expensive things, but I generally use it enough where it's not really stored long term.
A lockable cage might be good, or even an heavy gun safe that's fairly open on the inside.

Or, I suppose if we're talking the absolute most secure and safe, if a bank closes nearby, could always make use of that vault if you turned it into an office... but that one's not so easily obtainable.

Ultimately a good security system is probably just as important and could save more gear than a cage would, but a combination of both probably would be the best way to go about things.

Climate controlled building with security system, inside a fenced area patrolled by a 140 pound Presa Canario.

I use a large safe bolted to the floor, heavy gun safe.

Also motion sensors in the house, cameras and alarm system with entry
sensors.

Preferably waterproof too.. you never know when that feature'll come in handy
