How do you edit footage from a flip video ulta hd on Sony vegas pro??

I have one of the flip video ultra hd cameras, and i have a sony vegas pro 10.
however when i add the footage to the timeline, the video appears black, but i can hear the sound track.

much help will be appreciated...

I suspect that the camera records as .mp4 which will need to be converted to avi:

Vegas 10 supports MP4. You just need the flip codec
