How do I send an After Effects (CS5) Freeze Frame clip to Photoshop?

Hey everybody,

I am running a few tests and I was wondering how I can export a freeze frame footage clip to use with Photoshop as an image? I created a freeze frame with 4k footage but what's next? I need to keep the full resolution as well because the image will slowly turn back into footage in my final video.

Thanks,
Petr

opt-cmd-m... adds make still frame in render queue, set everything to Full resolution and the file format of your choice, TGA, etc... Hit Render.

Hey Brandon,

The keyboard shortcut didn't budge but I found 'Save Frame As' under the Composition menu and it gave me a choice of File or Photoshop Layers. File ( option-command-s in my version ) took me to the Render queue.

Thanks!

yes that is correct... I mis-spoke... opt-cmd-s... for still frame. cmd-m makes movie file. sorry.

you are doing it correctly, render queue is what you want.

Petr,
This is Red user.
I don't think this is the right forum to be asking about basic A.E. to photoshop questions.
Why don't you try creative cow forums next time.

David,

He's working with 4K RED footage. Even though this may be a basic AE to Photoshop issue, it's still a component of his RED workflow and right in line with the many other basic questions that get asked around here on a daily basis.
