  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

How close can we get to the subject/actor?

We have most things covered about the lens and I want to make sure that this isn't a request thread for suggestions.

I'm no lens engineer, so what does the lens have to have in order to make you get really close? What might be the closest range with the specs we know about the lens?

This is a cool idea. I remember a website that "emulated" what would you get from a certain lens based on it's specifications, can't find it for the life of me! Would be nice if instead of talking and babbling about having or not certain lens or adapters if we could explore what the already spec Scarlet lens with it's 2/3" chip is capable of producing. I as Glazarus am no lens geek and would like to have an idea what the shooting capabilities would be.

Cheers!

What we know about the lens aren't all confirmed but it's what Jim said in the other threads...

Focal Length = 7 - 56mm
Sensor = 2/3 (3.9 crop) (meaning 28 - 218mm in s35mm) (17 - 136mm on a Red One)
Aparture = T2.8 (Recon it's about 2.0 if you want an F number)

Glaz...can you explain this in laymen's terms more. THANKS!!!
