If you love history, booze, America, and laughing this is the show for you. We shot mostly on Red Epic and Scarlet, but mixed in some AF-100s and GH2s when needed. The lenses stayed consistent. We used rehoused Zeiss B-Speeds in PL mount throughout the show as well as a few other old Zeiss lenses. Mike Rowe (Dirty Jobs, Ford commercials, etc.) is a hilarious host, and really brings something special to this type of show. I'm not sure what type that is exactly, because this one doesn't fit into any category I can think of... maybe you could call it a hysterically funny and sarcastic historical documentary that doesn't take anything too seriously??? Premieres next Wednesday, September 19th at 10PM eastern time on Discovery Channel.

Haha, working out those Ice Road Truckers muscles, huh? But now...with booze. I LOVE IT! Mike Rowe is awesome. So cool you shot this on Epic. History shot Hatfields & McCoys on Epic, too. F*cking awesome to see RED making in-roads in the doc/history genre. In large part cuz of guys like you on the front lines making this happen.

Very cool.

Congrats! LOOKS GREAT!!!

Looks like a fun project, one that would be right in his wheelhouse. Will definitely watch the series.

Mike's a great guy, he helped out a couple years ago recording a PSA voiceover for a film I produced for the 100 year anniversary of the BSA called, "Scouting The Past". Would love to work with him again.

Clint, saw your bio on IMDB and smiled because several of the projects you've worked on I've watched and enjoyed. From Ice Road Truckers to Sniper, seen a good many of them. Good stuff!

Nick: Thanks dude! I had no idea Hatfield and McCoy was shot on Red. That was the highest rated show History Channel has ever seen, and it looked rad too :)

Mark: Thanks man, that means a lot. Sniper was one of my favorite shows to work on. We shot on the Red One for a few of those too.

Clint,

Great stuff...look forward to checking it out!

If you missed last week's episode, check out episode 2 tonight at 10pm on Discovery! This is by far my favorite episode, so if you are only going to catch one of them... let it be this one :) Thanks.

Clint,

I made a point to watch last week's episode and I'm in line to catch the one tonight. I love it, great work! I really like the style they took - seems edgy for Discovery - and I think Mike Rowe is great.

Got my DVR set.. Mike Rowe is honestly the most sincere person I have worked with. I did a 6 month job with Ford torturing the Ford F150, and he was the host. He is just.... Himself.. No sugar coating. I was wrapping the gear in an SUV and he was bored of dealing with the Ford big wigs and comes and hides by my truck and just starts shooting the shit about mindless stuff.. Great guy..

Thanks William, episode 2 gets even edgier! I was shocked at how crazy the humor gets in this show. Its really smart and funny as hell. We completely destroy the 4th wall in this episode. Check it out at 10PM tonight!

Yeah Justin, spot on about Mike Rowe. He's a good dude for sure.

Third and final episode airs tonight at 10PM on Discovery Channel. When you've had enough of the debate, or you just want something fun to watch, come check out this wacky show!

You've got my attention. I will be looking this up.
