Unfortunately the RPP's are in back order, till further notice when all past orders will be fulfilled, so the only way for you to test one "NOW" is to rent, or go to the nearest RED User that has a set, if He/She will allow you to try them out at their location.

As far as purchasing a set together with other users, that is not a bad idea, but the issue would be that most users will want the same focal.

Even if you could agree in the focal needed, then you place the order and have to weight till they shipped to you, which could be some time.

The other issue is that RED will ship the full set to one single User, so that user would have to be trusted by the other participants, which will first trust the person in charge of the order with their part of the money, and then will have to trust that the User in charge will ship their lenses once the full RPP set is received, and then every time there is an issue with any of the lenses that User has to have them serviced for them, not that I see this last an issue, as I know of NOne to extremely limited cases were any issues were reported with the RPP's they are just that good.

To be honest I tough of doing so my self since I have been asked few times by different users if I could make an order for the RPP's to share some lenses, and I might just do that, so I can have some double Focal most used in my style of shooting.

Any way good luck to you what ever you decide, and go with confidence with the RPP's and RPZ they are fantastic optics!!

Thanks very much for your honest advice! I think 50mm was important to every user:(,would some one need 25 or 35 or 85 or 100? I considered rpz 18-85mm,it's very nice len!but it's too big and too heavy! I think how I could use it frequently! So if I can not get Rpp right now, I would try still lens:(
