Our group in Houston Texas wanted to throw out an offer to all redusers who contemplate purchasing items on ebay, craigslist, etc.

If you happen to be out-of-town / state / or country and you find a seller in the area, feel free to email us about the seller's location and particulars.

Someone from our local team would be happy to "go see" the items in question. We've been in the city for over 25 years and know our way around pretty well.

Our thinking with the offer is two-fold...

-- If a fraudulent seller is in the city, then they are going to throw up every objection to having your "colleagues" down the road come visually inspect the potential merchandise.

-- As the first to make this offer, we are hoping other redusers in other cities will join in - effectively creating an anti-fraud network.

In terms of particulars, if the item is real, we can take pictures, video conference, skype-mobile, you name it...

Yes..this is actually quite common on car forums since cars being so
expensive and having high potential repair bills.

But alot of the gear sold here is just as expensive but the
mods here seem more concerned with the site's legal liability
as opposed to people exposing scammers.
